# On Resend email bounced

> Start an automation from permanent Resend delivery rejections.

`onResendEmailBounced` emits `email.bounced` for permanent recipient-server
rejections. Use it to suppress invalid recipients or alert an owner.

```ts automations/handle-resend-bounce.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { onResendEmailBounced } from "automate.ax/resend"
export default automation("Handle Resend bounces", () => {
  const bounced = onResendEmailBounced()
  bounced.transform(({ createdAt, data }) => ({
    createdAt,
    emailId: data.email_id,
    bounce: data.bounce,
  }))
})
```

Optional static `account` defaults to the project binding. Returns
`{ type: "email.bounced"; createdAt; data }`. Resend's provider-native `data`
contains the email, recipients, and bounce information available for that event;
validate optional nested fields before depending on them.
