# On Resend email complained

> Start an automation from Resend spam complaints.

`onResendEmailComplained` emits `email.complained` when a recipient reports a
message as spam. Use it to suppress further mail and investigate sending
practices.

```ts automations/handle-resend-complaint.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { onResendEmailComplained } from "automate.ax/resend"
export default automation("Handle Resend complaints", () => {
  const complaint = onResendEmailComplained()
  complaint.transform(({ createdAt, data }) => ({
    createdAt,
    emailId: data.email_id,
    recipients: data.to,
  }))
})
```

Optional static `account` defaults to the project binding. Returns
`{ type: "email.complained"; createdAt; data }`, with provider-native complaint,
email, and recipient fields inside `data` when supplied.
