# Get message permalink

> Get Slack's permanent URL for a message.

`slack.getMessagePermalink` returns a durable Slack URL for a message.

## Example

```ts automations/get-message-permalink.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { slack } from "automate.ax/slack"

export default automation("Get message permalink", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Get message permalink" })

  slack.getMessagePermalink({
    conversationId: "C01234567",
    timestamp: "1700000000.000001",
  })
})
```

## Inputs

| `conversationId` | `string` | Yes      | Conversation containing the message. |
| `timestamp`      | `string` | Yes      | Slack message timestamp.             |

## Output

Returns the normalized `conversationId` and `permalink` URL.
