# Get workspace identity

> Get the Slack workspace and bot represented by an account binding.

`getWorkspaceIdentity` identifies the authenticated Slack installation. Use it
to verify which workspace a binding represents or compare event workspace IDs.

## Example

```ts automations/get-slack-identity.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { getWorkspaceIdentity } from "automate.ax/slack"

export default automation("Get Slack identity", () => {
  getWorkspaceIdentity({})
})
```

## Inputs

| --------- | ------------------------------------------------ | -------- | ----------------------------------------------- |
| `account` | `string \| IntegrationAccountReference<"slack">` | No       | Slack binding; defaults to the project binding. |

## Output

Returns `workspace`, `workspaceId`, and authenticated `userId`, plus optional
`user`, `botId`, workspace `url`, and Enterprise Grid `enterpriseId`.
