# On channel unshared

> Run an automation when a Slack channel is externally unshared.

`slack.onChannelUnshared` emits `channel_unshared` events when a channel is disconnected from another Slack workspace.

```ts automations/watch-unshared-slack-channels.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { slack } from "automate.ax/slack"

export default automation("Watch unshared Slack channels", () => {
  const channel = slack.onChannelUnshared()
  // Use channel.previouslyConnectedWorkspaceId to revoke cross-workspace access.
})
```

The result includes `channelId`, `previouslyConnectedWorkspaceId`, `isExternallyShared`, the typed original `event`, and the complete `envelope`.
