# On pin removed

> Run an automation when an item is unpinned in Slack.

`slack.onPinRemoved` emits `pin_removed` events for conversations visible to the installed bot.

import { slack } from "automate.ax/slack"

export default automation("Watch removed Slack pins", () => {
  const pin = slack.onPinRemoved()
  // Use pin.item to remove the pinned item from a Slack archive.

```

The result includes `conversationId`, `userId`, the typed provider `item` and `event`, and the complete `envelope`. Slack may also include `hasPins`, pin-count, and pinned-item metadata.
