# On workspace member changed

> Run an automation when a Slack workspace member changes.

`slack.onWorkspaceMemberChanged` emits Slack `user_change` events for profile and account changes.

export default automation("Sync Slack members", () => {
  const event = slack.onWorkspaceMemberChanged()
  // Use event.member.deleted to deprovision removed Slack members.

```

The result includes normalized `member` identity and profile fields, the typed original `event`, and the complete `envelope`. Email is present only when the app also has `users:read.email`.
