# Create Invoice Attachment

> Uploads a file and attaches it to an invoice.

`square.createInvoiceAttachment` uploads a file and attaches it to an invoice.

## Example

```ts automations/square-create-invoice-attachment.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { square } from "automate.ax/square"
export default automation("Create Square Invoice Attachment", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Create Square Invoice Attachment" })
  square.createInvoiceAttachment({
    invoiceId: "invoice_id",
  })
})
```

## Inputs

Every input accepts a compatible signal. It requires `INVOICES_WRITE`.

| Field       | Type                                         | Required | Default | Description                                  |
| ----------- | -------------------------------------------- | -------- | ------- | -------------------------------------------- |
| `invoiceId` | `string`                                     | Yes      | —       | The ID of the invoice to attach the file to. |
| `request`   | `Square.CreateInvoiceAttachmentRequestData`  | No       | —       | Square `request` request field.              |
| `imageFile` | `File \| fs.ReadStream \| Blob \| undefined` | No       | —       | Square `imageFile` request field.            |

Use the official [CreateInvoiceAttachment reference](https://developer.squareup.com/reference/square/invoices-api/create-invoice-attachment) for provider field semantics and limits.

## Output

Returns the official `Square.CreateInvoiceAttachmentResponse` response as a codec-safe object. Square integer money amounts remain `bigint` values.
