# Delete Invoice

> Deletes the specified invoice.

`square.deleteInvoice` deletes the specified invoice.

## Example

```ts automations/square-delete-invoice.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { square } from "automate.ax/square"

export default automation("Delete Square Invoice", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Delete Square Invoice" })

  square.deleteInvoice({
    invoiceId: "invoice_id",
    version: 1,
  })
})
```

## Inputs

Every input accepts a compatible signal. It requires `INVOICES_WRITE` and `ORDERS_WRITE`.

| `invoiceId` | `string`         | Yes      | —       | The ID of the invoice to delete.                                                                               |
| `version`   | `number \| null` | No       | —       | The version of the invoice to delete. If you do not know the version, you can call GetInvoice or ListInvoices. |

## Output

Returns the official `Square.DeleteInvoiceResponse` response as a codec-safe object. Square integer money amounts remain `bigint` values.
