# Retrieve Dispute Evidence

> Returns the metadata for the evidence specified in the request URL path.

`square.retrieveDisputeEvidence` returns the metadata for the evidence specified in the request URL path.

## Example

```ts automations/square-retrieve-dispute-evidence.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { square } from "automate.ax/square"

export default automation("Retrieve Square Dispute Evidence", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Retrieve Square Dispute Evidence" })

  square.retrieveDisputeEvidence({
    disputeId: "dispute_id",
    evidenceId: "evidence_id",
  })
})
```

## Inputs

Every input accepts a compatible signal. It requires `DISPUTES_READ`.

## Output

Returns the official `Square.GetDisputeEvidenceResponse` response as a codec-safe object. Square integer money amounts remain `bigint` values.
