# Retrieve Team Member

> Retrieves a `TeamMember` object for the given `TeamMember.id`.

`square.retrieveTeamMember` retrieves a `TeamMember` object for the given `TeamMember.id`.

## Example

```ts automations/square-retrieve-team-member.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { square } from "automate.ax/square"
export default automation("Retrieve Square Team Member", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Retrieve Square Team Member" })
  square.retrieveTeamMember({
    teamMemberId: "team_member_id",
  })
})
```

## Inputs

Every input accepts a compatible signal. It requires `EMPLOYEES_READ`.

| Field          | Type     | Required | Default | Description                            |
| -------------- | -------- | -------- | ------- | -------------------------------------- |
| `teamMemberId` | `string` | Yes      | —       | The ID of the team member to retrieve. |

Use the official [RetrieveTeamMember reference](https://developer.squareup.com/reference/square/team-api/retrieve-team-member) for provider field semantics and limits.

## Output

Returns the official `Square.GetTeamMemberResponse` response as a codec-safe object. Square integer money amounts remain `bigint` values.
