# On Event

> Starts an automation from any current Square seller event.

`square.onEvent` subscribes to every current Square webhook event for the selected seller. It requests the combined OAuth permissions needed to deliver all supported event types.

## Example

```ts automations/square-on-event.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { square } from "automate.ax/square"

export default automation("Route Square events", () => {
  const event = square.onEvent()

  // Send event to the Square-aware order, CRM, or messaging action you use.
})
```

## Event

The signal resolves to the official `Square.Event` payload. Use a semantic trigger such as `square.onPaymentCreated` when you want a payload narrowed to one exact event interface.
