# Get invoice

> Retrieve a Stripe invoice by ID.

Use `stripe.getInvoice` to retrieve a Stripe invoice by ID.

## Example

```ts automations/stripe-get-invoice.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { stripe } from "automate.ax/stripe"

export default automation("Get invoice", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Get invoice" })

  stripe.getInvoice({ invoiceId: "in_123" })
})
```

## Inputs

`invoiceId` is required. Optional `expand` values retrieve supported related objects.

Inputs use camel case and accept compatible signals. Automate.ax converts provider fields to Stripe's wire format. Metadata keys remain unchanged.

## Output

Returns the Stripe Invoice. Output fields use camel case. Stripe decimal fields such as `quantityDecimal` are lossless strings.
