# Update PaymentIntent

> Update mutable payment, customer, receipt, shipping, or metadata fields.

Use `stripe.updatePaymentIntent` to update mutable payment, customer, receipt, shipping, or metadata fields.

## Example

import { stripe } from "automate.ax/stripe"

export default automation("Update PaymentIntent", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Update PaymentIntent" })

  stripe.updatePaymentIntent({
    paymentIntentId: "pi_123",

  })
})
```

## Inputs

`paymentIntentId` is required. Some changes require reconfirmation. `idempotencyKey` is optional.

Inputs use camel case and accept compatible signals. Automate.ax converts provider fields to Stripe's wire format. Metadata keys remain unchanged.

## Output

Returns the updated Stripe PaymentIntent. Output fields use camel case.
