# Update payout

> Update metadata on a Stripe payout.

Use `stripe.updatePayout` to attach or clear reconciliation metadata.

import { stripe } from "automate.ax/stripe"

export default automation("Update payout", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Update payout" })
  stripe.updatePayout({ payoutId: "po_123", metadata: { batchId: "batch_42" } })
})
```

## Inputs

`payoutId` is required. Stripe currently permits payout metadata updates. `idempotencyKey` is optional.

## Output

Returns the updated payout.
