# Update price

> Update mutable fields on a Stripe price.

Use `stripe.updatePrice` to update mutable fields on a Stripe price.

## Example

```ts automations/stripe-update-price.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { stripe } from "automate.ax/stripe"

export default automation("Update price", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Update price" })

  stripe.updatePrice({ priceId: "price_123", nickname: "Pro monthly" })
})
```

## Inputs

`priceId` is required. Stripe doesn't allow changing a price's amount or currency after creation. `idempotencyKey` is optional.

Inputs use camel case and accept compatible signals. Automate.ax converts provider fields to Stripe's wire format. Metadata keys remain unchanged.

## Output

Returns the updated Stripe Price. Output fields use camel case. Stripe decimal fields such as `unitAmountDecimal` are lossless strings.
