# Delete folder

> Deletes a Tally folder and its nested folders, then moves their forms to the trash.

`tally.deleteFolder` deletes a Tally folder and its nested folders, then moves their forms to the trash.

## Example

```ts automations/tally-delete-folder.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onHttpRequest } from "automate.ax"
import { tally } from "automate.ax/tally"

export default automation("Delete folder", () => {
  onHttpRequest({ scope: "automation" })

  tally.deleteFolder({
    workspaceId: "workspace-id",
    folderId: "folder-id",
  })
})
```

## Inputs

`workspaceId` and `folderId` are required.

Pass `account` to select a named Tally connection.

## Output

Returns an empty object after Tally deletes the folder and its nested folders.

This action affects nested folders and forms and is not retried after an uncertain response.
