# Get current user

> Gets the Tally user, organization, and subscription plan for the connected API key.

`tally.getCurrentUser` gets the Tally user, organization, and subscription plan for the connected API key.

## Example

```ts automations/tally-get-current-user.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onHttpRequest } from "automate.ax"
import { tally } from "automate.ax/tally"

export default automation("Get current user", () => {
  onHttpRequest({ scope: "automation" })

  tally.getCurrentUser({
    timezone: "America/Los_Angeles",
  })
})
```

## Inputs

`timezone` is an optional IANA time zone used when Tally formats account data.

Pass `account` to select a named Tally connection.

## Output

Returns the connected user, organization context, and subscription plan.
