# Update form blocks

> Replaces every block in a Tally form and optionally updates its settings.

`tally.updateFormBlocks` replaces every block in a Tally form and optionally updates its settings.

## Example

```ts automations/tally-update-form-blocks.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, onHttpRequest } from "automate.ax"
import { tally } from "automate.ax/tally"

export default automation("Update form blocks", () => {
  onHttpRequest({ scope: "automation" })

  tally.updateFormBlocks({
    formId: "form-id",
    blocks: [],
  })
})
```

## Inputs

`formId` and the complete ordered `blocks` array are required. Optionally pass form `settings`. Existing blocks omitted from the array are removed.

Pass `account` to select a named Tally connection.

## Output

Returns the updated form, including its ID, name, workspace, status, and timestamps.

This is a complete replacement, not an append operation.
