# List chat members

> List participants in a Microsoft Teams chat.

`listChatMembers` lists the direct membership of one chat.

## Example

```ts automations/list-chat-members.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { listChatMembers } from "automate.ax/teams"
export default automation("List Teams chat members", () => {
  listChatMembers({ chatId: "19:opaque-chat-id@thread.v2", limit: 100 })
})
```

## Inputs

`chatId` is required. `limit` defaults to 100 and accepts 1–10,000 across Graph
pages. Optional `account` selects the Microsoft binding.

## Output

Returns `TeamsMember[]` with `memberId`, roles, and available display name,
email, tenant ID, Entra `userId`, and visible-history start date. Membership IDs
and user IDs are distinct.
