# List chats

> List one-to-one, group, and meeting chats for a Microsoft 365 user.

`listChats` follows Graph pagination and lists chats in which the connected user
participates.

## Example

```ts automations/list-teams-chats.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { listChats } from "automate.ax/teams"

export default automation("List Teams chats", () => {
  listChats({ limit: 250 })
})
```

## Inputs

Optional `limit` defaults to 100 and accepts 1–10,000 results across Graph
pages. Optional `account` selects the Microsoft binding.

## Output

Returns chats with `chatId` and `chatType` (`oneOnOne`, `group`, `meeting`, or
`unknownFutureValue`), plus optional `topic`, `tenantId`, `createdAt`,
`updatedAt`, and `webUrl`.
