# Update channel

> Updates and returns a Teams channel.

`teams.updateChannel` updates and returns a Teams channel.

## Example

```ts automations/teams-update-channel.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { teams } from "automate.ax/teams"

export default automation("Update channel", () => {
  teams.updateChannel({
    team: "Engineering",
    channel: "Incidents",
    description: "Operational incidents",
  })
})
```

## Inputs

Pass `{ team: "Engineering", channel: "Incidents", description: "Operational incidents" }`. The optional second argument `{ account }` selects a Microsoft binding.

## Output

Updates and returns a Teams channel. Microsoft Graph IDs are opaque and should be passed through unchanged.
