# Update chat

> Updates and returns a group chat.

`teams.updateChat` updates and returns a group chat.

## Example

```ts automations/teams-update-chat.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { teams } from "automate.ax/teams"

export default automation("Update chat", () => {
  teams.updateChat({ chatId: "chat-id", topic: "Launch room" })
})
```

## Inputs

Pass `{ chatId: "chat-id", topic: "Launch room" }`. The optional second argument `{ account }` selects a Microsoft binding.

## Output

Updates and returns a group chat. Microsoft Graph IDs are opaque and should be passed through unchanged.
