# Add card member

> Assign one Trello member to a card.

`addCardMember` assigns an existing board member and then returns the refreshed card.

import { addCardMember } from "automate.ax/trello"

export default automation("Assign Trello card", () => {
  onHttpRequest({ scope: "automation" })
  addCardMember({ card: "card-id", memberId: "member-id" })
})
```

`card` (ID, short link, or URL) and stable `memberId` are required. Optional `account` defaults to the project binding. Returns the updated `TrelloCard`; use [List board members](/reference/integrations/trello/actions/list-board-members) to discover valid IDs.
