# Delete card

> Permanently delete a Trello card.

`deleteCard` permanently removes a card. Use `updateCard({ closed: true })` when archiving is sufficient.

Required `card` accepts an ID, short link, or URL. Optional `account` defaults to the project binding. Returns `Signal<{ cardId: string; deleted: true }>` after Trello confirms deletion. Deletion cannot be undone.
