# Update checklist

> Rename or reorder a Trello checklist.

`updateChecklist` changes a checklist's display name, its position, or both.

`checklistId` is required. Provide `name`, `position: "top" | "bottom" | number`, or both; numeric positions must be nonnegative. Optional `account` defaults to the project binding. Returns the updated `TrelloChecklist`.
