# Update comment

> Replace the text of an existing Trello card comment.

`updateComment` edits a comment action on its card.

`card`, stable `commentId`, and non-empty replacement `text` are required. `card` accepts an ID, short link, or URL. Optional `account` defaults to the project binding.

Returns the updated `TrelloComment`. Trello may reject edits when the connected member did not create the comment or lacks board access.
