# Update label

> Update a Trello label's name or color.

`trello.updateLabel` changes a reusable board label.

  onDashboardRun({ title: "Update Trello label" })
  trello.updateLabel({ labelId: "label-id", color: "green", name: "Ready" })

Provide `labelId` and at least one field to change. `name` accepts any string; use `""` to clear it. `color` accepts `"black"`, `"blue"`, `"green"`, `"lime"`, `"orange"`, `"pink"`, `"purple"`, `"red"`, `"sky"`, `"yellow"`, or `null` for a colorless label. Optional second argument `{ account }` selects a Trello binding.

Returns the updated `TrelloLabel`.
