# On card updated

> Start an automation from any Trello card update.

`onTrelloCardUpdated` matches every provider `updateCard` action on one board, including moves and archive changes.

`board` is required and accepts an ID, short link, or URL. Optional static `account` defaults to the project binding.

Returns a card-event signal with `actionId`, `actionType`, ISO `occurredAt`, `board`, `card`, optional `list`, optional `previousList`, optional `commentText`, and optional `memberCreator`. The payload identifies the action but does not include a before-and-after snapshot for every changed field; call `getCard({ card: event.card.id })` when you need the current complete card.
