# On checklist item updated

> Run an automation after a Trello checklist item is updated.

`trello.onChecklistItemUpdated` matches `updateCheckItem` and `updateCheckItemStateOnCard` actions.

Provide `board` as an ID, short link, or URL. Optional static `account` defaults to the project binding.

Returns a resource event with required `checkItem` and `board`, `actionType: "updateCheckItem" | "updateCheckItemStateOnCard"`, `actionId`, `occurredAt`, optional `checklist`, `card`, `old`, and `memberCreator`, and the complete provider `event`. Completed items also match `trello.onChecklistItemCompleted`.
