# Create delivery quote

> Quotes an Uber Direct courier delivery between two addresses.

`uber.createDeliveryQuote` returns Uber's fee and timing estimate for a delivery without dispatching a courier.

`pickup` and `dropoff` each require an `address`: either a single-line string or an object with `streetAddress` (one or two lines), `city`, `state`, `zipCode`, and `country`. Use the same format when you create the delivery; Uber can reject a delivery whose address format differs from its quote. Each waypoint also accepts `latitude`, `longitude`, `phoneNumber`, `readyAt`, and `deadlineAt`.

Set `manifestTotalValue` in cents for more accurate pricing. If you plan to pass `externalStoreId` when creating the delivery, pass it here too.

The quote includes `id`, `fee` in cents, `currencyType`, `expires`, `dropoffEta`, `duration`, and `pickupDuration` in minutes. A quote expires after about 15 minutes. Pass its `id` as `quoteId` to [Create delivery](https://docs.automate.ax/reference/integrations/uber/actions/create-delivery.md) to lock in the quoted fee.

Leave every time window empty for an ASAP delivery. Uber requires `pickup.deadlineAt` to be at least 10 minutes after `pickup.readyAt` and at least 20 minutes from now, and `dropoff.deadlineAt` to be at least 20 minutes after `dropoff.readyAt` and no earlier than the pickup deadline.
