# Get delivery

> Retrieves one Uber Direct delivery with its status, courier, proof, and refund.

`uber.getDelivery` returns the current state of a delivery.

```ts automations/check-uber-delivery.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, markSignificant, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { uber } from "automate.ax/uber"
export default automation("Check a delivery", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Check delivery" })
  markSignificant(uber.getDelivery({ deliveryId: "del_abc123" }))
})
```

`deliveryId` is required. The delivery includes `status`, `complete`, `courier` (name, vehicle, masked phone, and location once assigned), `pickupEta`, `dropoffEta`, `fee`, `tip`, and `trackingUrl`. After a waypoint completes, its `verification` contains the captured photo, signature, barcode scans, PIN, or ID result. Uber keeps proof images for 30 days.

When a customer or Uber requests a refund, `refund` lists refunded fees and items in cents and which party was at fault.

Uber recommends this action when a webhook delivery fails, because it does not retry webhooks that receive a non-server-error response.
