# Get organization

> Retrieves an Uber Direct organization's profile, hierarchy, and billing status.

`uber.getOrganization` returns an organization's `info`, `hierarchyInfo`, and `billingInfo`.

```ts automations/check-uber-billing.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, markSignificant, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { uber } from "automate.ax/uber"
export default automation("Check Uber billing", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Check billing" })
  markSignificant(uber.getOrganization({}))
})
```

`organizationId` defaults to the connected customer ID, which is your root organization. `billingInfo.billingStatus` is `BILLING_STATUS_ACTIVE`, `BILLING_STATUS_INACTIVE`, or `BILLING_STATUS_UNSET`.

Organization actions require Uber's `direct.organizations` scope. If Uber did not grant it when you connected, these actions are unavailable for that connection.
