# Invite organization member

> Invites a user to an Uber Direct organization.

`uber.inviteOrganizationMember` invites someone to the Uber Direct dashboard and returns their `membershipId`.

```ts automations/invite-uber-dispatcher.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, markSignificant, onDashboardRun } from "automate.ax"
import { uber } from "automate.ax/uber"
export default automation("Invite a dispatcher", () => {
  onDashboardRun({ title: "Invite dispatcher" })
  markSignificant(
    uber.inviteOrganizationMember({
      email: "dispatch@cornerflorist.example",
      firstName: "Grace",
      lastName: "Hopper",
      roles: ["ROLE_EMPLOYEE"],
    }),
  )
})
```

`email`, `firstName`, `lastName`, and at least one role are required. `ROLE_ADMIN` has full dashboard access, including billing, developer settings, and users. `ROLE_EMPLOYEE` can create deliveries and view past ones. `ROLE_SUPPORT` can view and edit existing deliveries. `organizationId` defaults to the connected customer ID.

Use `roleAssignments` to limit a role to one organization or to one store identified by `organizationId` and `externalStoreId`. `phoneDetails` takes digits only in `countryCode`, `subscriberNumber`, and the full `phoneNumber`.
