# On any delivery event

> Starts an automation for every Uber Direct delivery status change.

`uber.onDeliveryEvent` takes no filters. It starts for every delivery status change and every change in courier proximity, so one delivery starts it several times.

```ts automations/sync-uber-delivery-status.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, fetchHttp } from "automate.ax"
import { uber } from "automate.ax/uber"
export default automation("Sync delivery status", () => {
  const event = uber.onDeliveryEvent({})
  fetchHttp({
    url: "https://orders.example.com/api/delivery-status",
    method: "POST",
    body: { deliveryId: event.deliveryId, status: event.status },
  })
})
```

The event includes `id`, `deliveryId`, `customerId`, `status`, `liveMode`, `created`, and the full `delivery` with its courier, waypoints, ETAs, and fee. Use a milestone trigger such as [Delivery delivered](https://docs.automate.ax/reference/integrations/uber/triggers/on-delivery-delivered.md) when your automation handles one step. The [delivery lifecycle](https://docs.automate.ax/reference/integrations/uber/index.md#delivery-lifecycle) maps each status to its milestone.

Check `liveMode` if one connection's webhook receives both test and production deliveries. Requires an Uber Direct connection with a webhook signing key and a dashboard webhook that sends `event.delivery_status`. See [Connect Uber Direct](https://docs.automate.ax/reference/integrations/uber/index.md#connect-uber-direct).
