# On delivery pending

> Starts an automation when Uber accepts a delivery before a courier is assigned.

`uber.onDeliveryPending` takes no filters. It starts when Uber reports a delivery as `pending`: accepted, with no courier assigned yet.

```ts automations/delivery-pending.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation, sendEmail, t } from "automate.ax"
import { uber } from "automate.ax/uber"
export default automation("Confirm a delivery request", () => {
  const event = uber.onDeliveryPending({})
  sendEmail({
    to: "*",
    subject: t`Delivery ${event.deliveryId} requested`,
    text: t`Fee: ${event.delivery.fee} cents. Track it at ${event.delivery.trackingUrl}`,
  })
})
```

The event includes `id`, `deliveryId`, `customerId`, `status`, `liveMode`, `created`, and the full `delivery` with its courier, waypoints, ETAs, and fee.

Requires an Uber Direct connection with a webhook signing key and a dashboard webhook that sends `event.delivery_status`. See [Connect Uber Direct](https://docs.automate.ax/reference/integrations/uber/index.md#connect-uber-direct).
