# Delete project environment variable

> Delete one Vercel project environment variable.

`deleteVercelProjectEnvironmentVariable` removes one variable by its provider ID.

```ts automations/delete-vercel-env.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { deleteVercelProjectEnvironmentVariable } from "automate.ax/vercel"
export default automation("Remove Vercel environment variable", () => {
  deleteVercelProjectEnvironmentVariable({
    environmentVariableId: "env_123",
    project: "docs-site",
  })
})
```

`project` and `environmentVariableId` are required. Optional `customEnvironmentId` restricts deletion to one custom environment; `teamId` overrides the OAuth installation team. The output preserves Vercel's typed removal response, whose shape varies when one variable is linked to several environments.
