# On Vercel deployment failed

> Start an automation when a Vercel deployment fails.

`onVercelDeploymentFailed` emits failed Vercel deployments without requiring a check for the provider's `deployment.error` discriminator.

Optional static `account` defaults to the project's Vercel OAuth binding.

## Trigger data

Returns the [deployment event shape](/reference/integrations/vercel/triggers/on-deployment-event), narrowed to `type: "deployment.error"`. Vercel calls failed deployment webhooks `deployment.error`; the Automate.ax callable uses the clearer “failed” name.
