# On Vercel deployment promoted

> Start an automation when a Vercel deployment is promoted.

`onVercelDeploymentPromoted` emits when a deployment is promoted to production, manually or automatically. Rollbacks are not included.

```ts automations/watch-promoted-vercel-deployments.automation.ts theme={null}
import { automation } from "automate.ax"
import { onVercelDeploymentPromoted } from "automate.ax/vercel"
export default automation("Watch promoted Vercel deployments", () => {
  const event = onVercelDeploymentPromoted()
  event.transform(({ payload }) => ({
    deploymentId: payload.deployment.id,
    projectId: payload.project.id,
    url: payload.deployment.url,
  }))
})
```

Optional static `account` defaults to the project's Vercel OAuth binding.

## Trigger data

Returns the [deployment event shape](/reference/integrations/vercel/triggers/on-deployment-event), narrowed to `type: "deployment.promoted"`.
