# Create asset

> Creates a hosted upload target for a new asset file.

`webflow.createAsset` creates a hosted upload target for a new asset file.

## Example

## Inputs

Every input accepts a compatible signal. It requires the `assets:write` OAuth scope.

| `fileName`     | `string` | Yes      | Filename, including its extension. |
| `fileHash`     | `string` | Yes      | MD5 hash of the file.              |
| `parentFolder` | `string` | No       | Webflow `parentFolder` value.      |
| `siteId`       | `string` | Yes      | Webflow site ID.                   |

  This action creates an upload target. Upload the file bytes to the returned
  provider URL to finish the asset upload.

## Output

Returns an object with the fields below. Automate.ax converts provider `Date` values to ISO 8601 strings.
