# Update collection field

> Updates the label or help text for a CMS collection field.

`webflow.updateCollectionField` updates the label or help text for a CMS collection field.

## Example

import { webflow } from "automate.ax/webflow"

## Inputs

Every input accepts a compatible signal. It requires the `cms:write` OAuth scope.

| `displayName`  | `string`  | No       | Webflow `displayName` value. |

| `collectionId` | `string`  | Yes      | Webflow CMS collection ID.   |
| `fieldId`      | `string`  | Yes      | Webflow `fieldId` value.     |

## Output

Returns an object with the fields below. Automate.ax converts provider `Date` values to ISO 8601 strings.
