Create channel

discord.createChannel create a text, voice, category, announcement, stage, forum, or media channel.

Inputs

Required guildId and name. Optional type, topic, parentId, position, nsfw, rateLimitPerUser, and reason. Topics apply to text, announcement, forum, and media channels. Text and announcement topics accept up to 1,024 characters; forum and media topics accept up to 4,096. Voice and stage channels also accept bitrate and userLimit; stage bitrate is at most 64,000, voice user limit is at most 99, and stage user limit is at most 10,000. Category and announcement channels do not accept rateLimitPerUser; category and media channels do not accept nsfw; category channels do not accept parentId. Optional second argument { account } selects the Discord binding.

Output

Returns the created DiscordChannel.

Discord behavior

Requires MANAGE_CHANNELS; server feature and tier limits still apply.
