discord.updateMember update a Discord member’s nickname, voice state, or timeout.

Inputs

Required server and user IDs. Optional nickname, communicationDisabledUntil, mute, deaf, channelId, and audit-log reason. A timeout must be an offset ISO timestamp no more than 28 days in the future. Use null to clear nickname, timeout, or voice channel. Optional second argument { account } selects the Discord binding.

Output

Returns the updated DiscordMember, including mute and deaf voice-state fields when Discord provides them.

Discord behavior

Discord permission and role hierarchy checks depend on the changed fields. Timeout timestamps must be within Discord’s supported window.
