whatsapp.sendMessage sends text from the connected WhatsApp Business phone number to an opted-in recipient.

whatsapp.sendMessage requires to and a non-empty body of at most 4,096 characters. Optional inputs are previewUrl, replyToMessageId, and callbackData. Optional second argument { account } selects the WhatsApp binding. Returns { messageId, recipientId, status? }. The optional immediate status is accepted, held_for_quality_assessment, or paused. Use whatsapp.onMessageStatusEvent or a specific status trigger for delivery outcomes. WhatsApp allows freeform messages only within 24 hours of the recipient’s most recent message. Use an approved template outside that window. The customer must have opted in before any business-initiated message. The integration doesn’t support WhatsApp groups.
